We know many of you will be traveling from out of town and appreciate you making the trip. Here are some details on booking accomodations
There are a number of hotel options near the wedding, so please feel free to stay wherever you'd like. We've booked room blocks at two hotels near all the wedding events.
FAIRMONT SAN FRANCISCO ($$)
A landmark hotel located at the top of Nob Hill, just a 3–5 minute walk from both Grace Cathedral and the Pacific-Union Club.
950 Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94108
EMBLEM HOTEL ($)
A charming boutique hotel in Japantown, a short rideshare from the ceremony and reception venues.
1625 Post St, San Francisco, CA 94115
San Francisco International Airport
For out of town guests, we recommend flying into San Francisco International Airport, which is a 30 minute drive to the hotels and wedding location.
IN-CITY TRAVEL
There are a number of options to get around the city. Rental cars are available at SFO airport and most hotels offer parking. Rideshare options include Uber and Waymo. For public transit, you can catch the Muni metro within the city, the BART train which connects the city to the rest of the Bay Area, and of course, the famous trolley cars.
A few venue policies to keep in mind
The wedding ceremony and reception are black tie optional. While at the Pacific-Union Club, gentlemen are required to keep on a jacket and tie at all times, even dancing. We recommend cocktail attire for the welcome drink and casual attire for brunch on Sunday.
There will be a wedding photographer to take photos during the ceremony and reception. While we encourage photos outside of the church, there is no personal photography allowed in Grace Cathedral. Similarly, at the Pacific-Union Club, we encourage photos outside of the building, as photography is not allowed inside the building and cell phones cannot be used in public areas. The wedding photographer is the only person permitted to take photos inside of the PU Club and we will make wedding photos available to everyone. Photos from inside of the PU Club cannot be posted to social media to respect the privacy of the Club.
If you do need to use your phone during the reception, there is a patio where you may do so. We look forward to celebrating with you in person, free of distractions.
Please don't feel obligated to bring a gift, but if you'd like to give us something, we've put together a registry for you.
We are lucky to have many of the home essentials already. We do, however, have a few upgrades that we've been window shopping for years in the list below. We've also included a link to a honeymoon fund, to help us fund our dream trip to Bhutan. Thank you!
REGISTRYPlease RSVP by July 31st. If you're responding for a group, just enter one name in your party. You'll be able to RSVP for your entire group on the next page.
